It Feels Like A Perfect Night

After a rough week of classes we finally made it to Friday! Someone was feeling a little 22 so we went out and celebrated Friday night. Kyle decided to go to Tucano's to celebrate his birthday! It's a Brazilian restaurant with the most amazing food. They have a salad bar and they bring around different meats. Basically it's heaven. Of course birthday photos had to be taken after.

The boys. Just lookin' a little Tucano's hungover.

Twin sandwich with the birthday boy himself.

Saturday morning we both had to work unfortunately. It was a beautiful rainy day though.

Kelsey took this photo on her lunch break. Just a little bit of BYU campus for you. It rarely rains in Utah compared to NH so we actually love it when it rains. :)

After a long day of work we went to this super cute restaurant on Center Street called Station 22. It's a small rustic place with the coolest decor. They gave us our water in mason jars.

We each ordered something different and shared! We got chicken and waffles, salmon fish and chips, and mac & cheese. It was soo delish.

After dinner we went to the dollar store. This is just a sample of our shenanigans that were had... Not sure what was in our food...

The fun didn't end after the dollar store, we ended up getting punked upon returning home so that was cool. Kelsey left her keychain in the front doorknob so some punks decided it would be funny to steal the whole keychain and just leave the front door key. Needless to say we were freaking out like the drama queens we are. hehe It's a long story but basically the whole ordeal involved a Jesus keychain, a group of dudes, a baby trying to sleep (we don't live in family housing, but ok?), a missing shoe, lots of "Who dunnit's?!", a missing car key, and a rugby playing tackling dude. Yeah... it's a complicated story but we didn't let those thieves get away. We got the keychain back and one of the guys numbers :)

Kyle's actual day of birth was Sunday so Saturday night we decorated his front door. hehe
Wynne chose the princess balloon. lol Oh and you can't really tell but we taped a toy dragon and army men on the door. It was dragon vs. army men. Unfortunately some army men were lost in the battle. :(

Posing with our handiwork at 3 in the morning.

After church Sunday we came home and made grilled mac & cheese sandwiches with our leftovers. It was the greatest idea ever. We highly recommend it.
Spot our Wendy.

After eating we headed over to Kyle's apt! We skyped our family and he opened his presents and blew out the two candles on his cake. haha

It was an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST BIG BROTHER TWO SISTERS COULD ASK FOR! :) He seriously is the best.

The Nuggets 5lyfe

BYU Week 2 ended with an eventful football game and a crazy weekend. We went to the first home football game on Thursday! It was against Houston and we won, of course :) 3-0 WHOO We got front row seats so that was cool.

Made it on ESPN! Are we famous now??

We have the cutest best friend named Wendy.

pre-game excitement

pre-game red drank

wynne get outta here

pre-game blue solo cup + creeper in the back

Too much red drank?

Ready for the game

The game happened to be on 9/11 so we got American flags. USAUSAUSA

this pic looks so awkward but that's why we love it

It got pretty chilly so Wynne let Kayley share her flannel.. What was in that red drank anyway??

Friday night we went to an event called Chalk the Block! Artists use chalk to draw whatever they want in a designated spot. We were really impressed!

We love Minnie <3

Saturday we participated in the World's Largest Scavenger Hunt that broke the Guinness world record!! You had to complete 15 challenges in order for it to count towards the record. Some of the challenges included finding a miniature sewing machine in a little store, playing leap frog outside of a pet store, and running through a splash pad. We ran all around downtown Provo completing each challenge which really wore us out lol

Team Nuggets. 5lyfe.

Whatcha thinking about?

Mario's family came to visit.

Sodalicious again this weekend. Say what.

We got to sample a new drink by Sodalicious and create a name for it. Can't say we took credit for it, thanks Whitley.

We finished second!! We were very proud of our Nugget team.

we went to an after party and ate yummy food

Go Provo!

OMH we love Provo

Oh my Helen. {Thanks Aunt Suzy for the phrase hehe} We seriously love Provo. There are so many fun things to do every weekend. We celebrated finishing our first week of classes by partying Friday night. woohoo Our apartment complex had a BBQ then after we went to a rooftop concert! It's a free concert that is on the roof of a parking garage. It is so cool. Coral Bones, The Brocks, and The Moth and the Flame performed at this one. It's always the first Friday of every month throughout the entire summer. Provo has a really good music scene so you can always expect really awesome bands to be playing.

Cool lanterns light up the night sky.

After the concert we hit up a dance party on center street. We didn't stay too long and ended up going to Sodalicious because it's so delicious. Get it?

People in Provo love their sodas. At sodalicous they have super unique drinks. Kels got boy scout which is root beer with toasted marshmallow flavoring extra dirty {aka half and half}. You can even get your mom extra dirty. heheha

Lost our heads momentarily.

At the concert we got a bunch of free tshirts. YAY for free stuff!

Saturday we watched the BYU game vs.Texas on TV and we won. YAS :)

Sunday is the day we always make a good homemade meal and have a lil' family dinner. But unfortunately Kyky didn't come to this one :( We made turkey burgers! BTW we are pros at grilling.
We got a few compliments from guys as we were grilling {girls keep that in mind...}

With our turkey burgers we also had roasted brussel sprouts. Our dad always made them at home and we made them the same exact way he does. Brussel sprouts may seem weird but they are actually really good! With our brussel sprouts we also made homemade sweet potato fries. It's super easy. We just cut up a sweet potato into fry sizes then drizzle olive oil over them and sprinkle some seasoning on. Then we put them in the oven @ 425 for 20 minutes, flip, then cook for another 20 minutes. Ta-da!

It was a very exciting and relaxing weekend, but now it is time for school WEEK 2! Let's go!

BYU Round TWO Lets Go!

Yesterday was our day off because of Labor Day. It began by going produce shopping! Our favorite!! :) We typically will buy bananas, apples, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, avocado, and carrots. If we find anything else of interest on sale that week we will get that too - like the brussel sprouts!

Alsooo it was Wynnie poo's birthday so we decorated the apartment that morning to celebrate.

At this point you may be wondering, "Who is this panda? Why is it so big? Where did we acquire such a thing?" Well friends, I will begin the tale. Spring term we made a friend named Jonny who became our unofficial GBF lol. The whole term we begged him to give it to us. At the end of the term he left to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Soooo lo and behold he caved in and gave it to us when he left! We were so grateful to welcome panda into our family and we love him very much.

Of course we used an obnoxious amount of decorations just for Wynne. She loves us. <3

Sour Patch Kids vs. Gummi Bears. Who won? Muahaha

After a full day of turning up we eventually went to bed to rest ourselves for the big day, THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Our mama requested a pic of the KKK  before we left for our classes

Kort and Kraw also started school today all the way back in NH! Kraw is starting 8th grade and Kort is now a sophomore, wowza...

We have been loving our cheetah print shoes lately. Cheetah girls...cheetah sistas.

It's backpack season again, YES

We picked up our sports pass today {YAY} and Kay got a new ID. The first day of school kept getting better and better.. Kay got a phone call saying she was offered the job she interviewed for at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Peace out TB!

After nonstop going and going from 7am-7pm we are TIRED. Well we survived our first day of sophomore year!! :) Bring it on day 2.
